04.20.05....Yesterday I was at
work and around 4 I had a
opportunity to get on line and see
what in the world was happening.
I knew that the debate on United
Nations nominee John Bolton
started at 2:30 so I decided to
click on C-Span to see how it was
going.  When the video feed
started I heard Democratic
senator Joe Biden screaming!  It
was great.  There have been many
stories about how Bolton ripped
into a subordinate who dared to
questions Bolton assertion a
number of years ago that Fidel
Castro was producing WMD's.
Of course it wasn't true but thats
not what Bolton wanted to hear.

Well of course that behavior
wasn't enough for our red
Senators to stop the nomination -
after all calling lies the truth is a
prerequisite for any Bush
supporter.  Apparently though
Bolton's brashness did not end
with Intelligence agents who
showed - umm-- intelligence.
Allegedly Bolton also treated a
female subordinate in an
inappropriate fashion in the past.
This caused at least two
Republican to allow a delay in the
confirmation process.

Bush wants Bolton as UN
ambassador precisely because he
is a jerk and will support the party
blindly.  Reds do not like the UN
(or any other organization that
refuses to follow their line of
thinking).  Bolton would be
disruptive to the world body and
thats just how Bush wants it.  But
perhaps he has gone too far this
time even for Red America.
