04.22.05...2:22pm....Happy Friday!.. It is
interesting that Henry Hyde, one of the leaders
of the Impeachment team back in the 90's,
now says (of course a little backtrack today)
that it may have been payback for the
investigations into Richard Nixon. No duhh.
It certainly wasn't for the merits of the case.
Let's hope there is more frankness from aging
right wingers who, upon reflecting on their life
and careers, admit the harm they have done to
America. ..... The New York Times and
Washington Post are reporting that former
Secretary of State Colin Powell has been
lobbying AGAINST John Bolton's nomination
to be UN Ambassador. Powell, a
Republican, saw the damage Bush and his
type have caused us and now that he is free
from the Administration he can speak honestly.
It is a shame he was sooo loyal while working
for Bush that it ended up costing him his future
political ambitions as well as the lives of 1,500
Americans. Once again I say better late than
never but it is still much too late.....You know
those bracelets everyone has? It started with
the Lance Armstrong LIVESTRONG yellow
bracket and now they are as plentiful as there
are causes. Well my sister, who seems to
know where to get any bracelet ever made,
sent me some NY Yankee bracelets! I have
never seen them before but I think they are
good luck. The Yanks are hurting this year -
but since putting on the 'jewelry' they are
undefeated. If this keeps up then you can
count on this fashion accessory being a part of
my wardrobe for months to come.

What about all these Virgin Mary sightings. A
while back it was on a grilled cheese and now
on an underpass wall. It is no wonder that this
country has gone Red. People are so
detached from reality that they are willing to
believe anything that sounds good. The Bush
people know that - thats how they hold power
- but c'mon. It just getting embarrassing
seeing all the feeble mindedness. If they try to
clean that wall you can count on protesters
with tape on their mouths and Tom Delay and
Randall Terry rushing to the scene. We must
err on the side of life - even the life of a salt
stain. I supposed everyone has to believe in
something. Personally I believe Red America
has gone crazy.
