Look Around
04.29.05 Watching Matt Drudge on
C-Span this morning.  If you are not
familiar with him - thats OK.  He
really doesn't make many public
appearances.  But you should get to
know his
website.  Yes- he panders
to the right wing.  But I generally
feel that he is just playing around
with them.  Posting every right wing
rumor to get millions of hits.  Yet he
also really digs around the news for
some interesting and enlightening
stories.  If I had no job, a great
laptop and the money people
funding me I would do a site like his
--from the left.
To be fair Drudge does report news
at times not favorable to the GOP.

The press conference last night was
fun to watch.  I am very critical of
Bush,his policies and his advisors.
But sometimes, you know, I wonder
if Bush himself is a well meaning
guy just in way over his head and
manipulated by others.  Thats the
vibe I got last night.  He was all
conciliatory and bi-partisan and
even seemed to blow off the
religious right by saying that
religion should only be personal not
political.  I can see why some people
take a liking to this guy.
Unfortunately there is a huge gap
between the nice Bush sweating it
out in front of the cameras and the
behind the scenes Bush who lets his
anger, insecurities and advisors
overwhelm the public persona.
George W. Bush may deep down be
a nice guy.  But it is crystal clear
that he has become "The Worst
President Ever".
