09.11.05 10:12am Are you ready
for some football?  Today is the
official opening day and hope
springs eternal, even for a Miami
Dolphin fan. Today's plan..rest,
shake the rest of this darn cold,
and watch some TV. A nice change
of pace from my normal hectic schedule.

09.10.05 7:29pm  Not watching Capital Gang.

Have you heard the latest?
Here's the story.

A lawyer with the Texas secretary of state was fired
after she spoke to a reporter about presidential adviser
Karl Rove's eligibility to vote in the state.

In the FEMA fiasco we saw the tragic result of  cronyism
which infests all areas of the Bush Administration. Of
course the other side of rewarding loyalty is punishing
those who leave the flock. This Texan stepped out of line
so she's out of a job. Meanwhile at FEMA, Brownie sits at
his desk with a Margareta hangover.

So when George W. Bush was twiddling his thumbs and
Dick Cheney was getting his formaldehyde changed in
Wyoming what was Al Gore doing?  Dodging the inept
Federal officials and chartering planes to pick up the
sick and aged in New Orleans.  I wonder how many
people now regret pulling the lever for Bush or a third
party back in 2000? By this most recent
poll quite a lot.

09.09.0504:26pm  So what is Brownie going to do now
that he has been relieved of duties at the disaster site?
Get a stiff drink and a good night's sleep. Thanks for
sharing.

BROWN OUT AT FEMA  Just a few days ago president
was telling "Brownie" that he was doing a great job.  But
with the criticism of the Administrations response to the
Hurricane still gaining steam Bush obviously needed a
scapegoat. So "Brownie" is out.  Not that he should have
ever
been in.  Sure he was college roommates with a
Bush buddy, but as far as qualifications outside of
kissing Republican ass - well none really to speak of.
Bush can "transfer" Brown anywhere he like, (I guess
he didn't outright fire him because that would be
admitting a mistake - an impossibility for Red
Americans), but he can't escape the fact that thousands
of people are dead thank to Federal incompetence.
That would keep me up at night.  But, through the years
we have seen George W. Bush handle the responsibility
of causing others death without any feeling of guilt or
remorse.  Whether it was the hundreds on death row in
Texas or the thousands of innocents in Iraq and New
Orleans who have died because of his (in)decisions,
Bush only sees greatness when he looks in the mirror.
And he still sleeps soundly when he goes to bed at 9:30
each night.  Sleep well Mr. President and may God bless
you.

09.08.05 5:42PM  Just came across this and thought I
would share it with you.  It's a look at The slow hurricane
response and the tragic consequences.

09.08.05  2:07 pm  Well I am home sick from work
today so you know I must really feel like crap.
Fortunately for you though, I still feel good enough to
bitch and moan about Republicans!

I saw this
Letter to Conservatives this morning which
takes a kinder approach than I do about trying to
convince Reds to leave the GOP.  You may want to
check it out.

I also see today that more people are picking up on the
Barbara Bush comments I first wrote about
last week.
She said that the people brought to from the disaster
area were better off in Texas because they were so poor
anyway.  Now some people are
reviewing more of her
comments and that of her dimwitted son.  Not much
compassion found but plenty of conservatism.  You
know, even going back to the first Bush Presidency I
saw what a nasty woman she was.  Of course the MSM
(main stream media) called her "grandmotherly" and
made her out to be a sweet old lady but anyone paying
attention knew otherwise.  Sure enough, with her boy in
political hot water, her ugly head has raised again.

So what is the deal with this Bush family?  Why would
they say people are "better off" from where they were
once living? Why do they show more sympathy to Terry
Schiavo than to thousands of poor people?  Well I have
a theory which I have expressed on radio many times.
It is complex and certainly not something I want to go
into great detail today feeling as crappy as I do.  (Look
for a book about it in the next year or two).  In a
nutshell my theory of Republicans is that have a
"Superiority Complex".  That is they really feel that they
are smarter, wiser and spiritually superior than others.
They feel they deserve more because they are just
better people.    Ironic that George W. Bush, saved by a
lifetime of family safety nets, looks down at those not
born wealthy or well connected when they need the
government to provide them a safety net.

Late the other night I was listening to the BBC when I
heard something that piqued  my interest.  In Texas,
school children from Louisiana are being put in classes
there.  Sounds good so far.  But what the authorities
there were doing was putting them in schools with
uniforms and curriculum's that would "teach proper
values" to these refugees.  It caught my attention
because it appears that Red Americans are using this
tragedy to evangelize.  It also puts Barbara Bush's
comments in context.  In a Red mind everybody would
be better off if they just came to Texas (or any Red
state) and became a conservative Christian.  If it takes
a Hurricane to get them there then it is certainly worth
it.

Today I found a story on how the Republican Governor
of Texas is using this disaster to
increase donations into
a religious organization that he has a financial interest
in. WOW!  They want to convert people so they may live
the Red American way and if they can make money
doing it - all the better.  I guess things like that really
warm the heart of people like Barbara Bush.  Save the
heathens from themselves and make a tidy profit while
doing so.  Make no mistake about it, Republicans will use
this disaster, for all its worth, in their culture war
against non Reds.

09.08.05 12:13 am  It is not surprising that faced with
the harshest criticism of his Presidency, George W.
Bush has released his attack dogs on those who dare to
complain.  You really can't blame them,  it has worked
for 5 years.  However, what is equally despicable is the
mainstream media which are now back to repeating the
spin of the Bush Administration without even checking
the facts. Circulating on right wing websites and
electronic media is a long list of falsehoods which were
crafted to help the President .  Sadly, the mainstream
media once again shows they will repeat
anything from
Administration hacks and repeat them as if they were
facts. No wonder so many people are clueless in this
country! But if you have a good connection don't miss
this video.  It shows  how Bush and his people have been
spinning, lying and changing their stories all week long -
assuming no one will notice.  Hey George!  Those days
are gone

After a while it gets difficult to feel outrage at the
shameless behavior of Red Americans.  But you won't
believe
this!  See those firemen in the picture to the
left? Reports now reveal that the Bush administration
had them sent to his location so he could use them as
props for his photo op!  Can somebody say "Mission
Accomplished".

If you want to compare two things, put them  side by
side. Thats why the Bush/Evacuee [doctored] photo
creation is so useful.  It is true that Bush was not
actually playing a guitar
at the evacuation, however he
was playing it (in a different city)
during the evacuation!
I realize the President sometimes has trouble with big
words but he should learn this one:  PRIORITIES
