MORE RED PROPAGANDA REVEALED
Karl Zinsmeister, the new chief domestic adviser to President Bush, while embedded
as a reporter with the 82nd Airborne in Kuwait in 2003, declared that "many of the
journalists observable in this war theater are bursting with knee-jerk suspicions and
antagonisms for the warriors all around them. A significant number are whiny and
appallingly soft."  Now that he has been appointed by President Bush he admits it
was "foolish".
Precious isn't it?  Zinmeister repeatedly used falsehoods to spread the myth of a liberal media in Iraq and now gets his
reward of a plum assignment by the President.  His apology or acknowledgment is therefore worthless.  Somebody the
other day asked me why Republicans use propaganda and lies so much.  It's because their outlook on the world is so
contrary with reality, they need to build parallel, but false, reality lest they get exposed.  Then why, I was asked, do
25-30% of the people still believe them? That is more complicated.  It may be loyalty - I voted for them I will stick with
them.  It could be greed - I want my money no matter what lies need be told.  It could be embarrassment - believing the
lies for so long it would be personally painful to admit you were conned for such a long period of time.  Or it could just be
that some people are too suspicious of "the left"- thinking that people like me are saying all these thing just because we
are "liberal'. Let's hope that these remaining folks put their distaste for people like me aside and take a good look
around at what is happening.   After all, if the USA goes down - it will take us all with it.

Frist Breaks With Hastert, others over the raid
on a congressional office
Speaker of the house Denny Hastert issued a
rare joint statement with Representative Nancy
Pelosi of California, the Democratic leader,
saying that F.B.I. officials had not notified them
before the raid and that the search violated the
constitutional principle of the separation of
powers.

Mr. Frist disagreed, shifting his position from
last week when he had expressed concern
about the search.
